A rebel is someone who is a non-conformist to patterns of life or traditions of the culture in order to glorify God and live on the mission of God.

Authority is a person or group of people that have the legal power to make and enforce the rules.

2 – I Just Want You to Be Happy


“May all who are godly be happy!” – Psalm 97:12

If you believe that God’s supreme goal for you is your happiness, here’s what you eventually start to do:

1.  You’ll believe that whatever makes me happy must be right, and whatever makes me unhappy must be wrong.

2.  You’ll believe that discomfort, delay, risk, suffering, inconveniences and obstacles can’t possibly be God’s will. 

3.  You’ll begin to worship the false gods of comfort, money, pleasure and things.

1. God is a God of second chances

2. God expects timely obedience

“Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim the message I give you.” – Jonah 3:2

“On the first day, Jonah started into the city.” – Jonah 3:4

In order to fully obey God, we’ve got to fully abandon ourselves.


3. God always responds to true repentance

“The Ninevites believed God.” – Jonah 3:5

“When the news reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, he took off his royal robes, and he covered himself with sackcloth and sat down in the dust.” – Jonah 3:6

“By the decree of the king and his nobles:  Do not let any man or beast or herd or flock taste anything; do not let them even eat or drink.” – Jonah 3:7
