MS/HS Camp 2020

MS/HS Summer Camp 2020 :: July 27-30

Needless to say, this has been a crazy summer already. We have had our regular camp opportunities cancelled on us only to move to a new camp opportunity and then have that one cancelled. Good thing we aren’t quitters! We went back to the drawing board and are in the process of creating our own summer camp that will take place in Panama City Beach, Florida! We are so excited to create a camp experience just for you, our wildwood students! This camp will be open to both middle and high school, however we will do separate experiences and lodging within our camp environment for both groups.

We will be heading over to PCB for our own custom camp at Blue Horizon Retreat. We love Blue Horizon and have been there for our retreats before. We will have the facility just for our camp and it’s awesome. From being right on the beach, to the swimming pool, basketball, volleyball and more – we are going to have a blast together!

Our team will be putting together all of the elements of camp and you will enjoy times of teaching from God’s Word, worship, interactives, sports competitions, games, free time and all the fun we can cram into our camp week. We will do all of our own meals. Lodging is bunk style, by grade and gender, and we will social distance as much as possible throughout the facility from lodging, to meals to corporate gathering times.

The cost of camp is only $225! So hurry and get signed up today!

Summer Camp FAQs

A: We are aware of the potential risks, but we are currently in Phase 2 and following our church's reopening plans which allows for gatherings of 50 or less. We are following all county and CDC guidelines and recommendations. Masks will be worn anytime we are indoors (the van, the lodge, etc.), and social distancing will be encouraged. Masks will not be required while outdoors. Contactless temperature scans will take place before we leave on Monday, and then each morning that we are at camp. Using hand sanitizer and hand washing will be encouraged throughout the day, and counters and surfaces will be sanitized after each use.
A: Camp will be hosted at the Blue Horizon Lodge and Retreat Center in Panama City Beach. While staying at Blue Horizon, we will be the only group on campus. We will spread out among the cottages by grade and gender to keep groups as small as possible.
A: Yes. You will be fully reimbursed for the previously scheduled camp, but in order to keep our records in order we will need you to register separately for WSM Camp.
A: We will bring along a food team that will cook all of our meals. We will be the only group accessing the kitchen. Meals will either be prepared and passed out by leaders to students sitting at tables or served buffet style — with students coming up 5 at a time to a table where a leader will prepare the food for the student. Two lunches will be spent on the road — so be sure to bring money to cover those lunches.
